Getting Feedback from OpenArc Clients
We are in the midst of another round of gathering customer feedback. One of a number of feedback loops we use to improve how we deliver for our clients. Rather than simple NPS, we use ideas from David Anderson's (of the blue Kanban book fame) Fit for Purpose approach to receiving feedback. It focuses on actionable feedback and learning what people hoped to get from your product or service, which may surprise you. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gAH3_k8K

At OpenArc, we've been building accessible products for years, before it was a government mandate. Some clients saw it as competitive advantage, some as the right thing to do. For many, now it is a compliance issue. If you want to talk about accessibility and your software products, hit me up!

Check out insights on accessibility from our HCD Manager, Peter Z 😁
What a perfect day. To talk about accessible, and therefore inclusive, technologies on a day like Valentine's Day. When talking about accessibility, this is how we have to start looking at it; it is about appreciating your audience and welcoming them without hindrance to being interested in what you offer them. If you are an information site, make sure everyone can read or listen to your posts in a way that makes sense. If you sell products, everyone who wants to give you money can do that without problems. And if you make a game, everyone who bought it can play it and enjoy it to its full potential. You only have to keep this in mind: people want to use your product. Don't alienate them by making your product hard to use. Accessibility does precisely this. It provides 'access' to what you have to offer. If you do your part in delivering an accessible product, I can guarantee you that the people who rely on accessible products have done their part by using assistive technologies. This should be the only reason you need to change your thoughts about being accessible. It is the right thing to do for your audience and the smart way to design and build your products. Happy Valentine's Day!

Peter is the awesome leader of our human centered design team - read what he has to say about personas!
A persona is more than just a description of the type of user you want to be using your product. Many companies will provide the personas even before the product is well-defined. You don't design the persona as an audience to create a product for. A persona is 'discovered' once you know what product you want to create. When you know what you want your product to do, the personas can be discovered by doing the research. Your User Experience (UX) researchers can help you there if you have the luxury of having them available. Otherwise, your experienced UX designer can help out. Having a well-researched persona based on the business requirements of your upcoming product will tell you so much about who you will create this product for. It will provide you with many opportunities to make your product look and function so well that you might otherwise be unaware of. #userexperience #uxpersona #uxdesign #productdesign #productmanagement
