The U.S. Department of Energy’s Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) office is leading the way in strengthening and securing manufacturing and energy supply chains essential to modernizing America’s energy infrastructure and supporting a clean and equitable energy transition. We prioritize promoting innovation across U.S. manufacturing and energy supply chains to drive the creation of new technological advancements and create new workforce opportunities.
MESC focuses on supporting and advancing the nation's manufacturing capabilities and energy supply chains. We’re helping address supply chain vulnerabilities and targeting identified areas of opportunities for investment through the Biden Administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funding, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding, and the Defense Production Act (DPA). MESC supports $20 billion in programs that further these goals.
