About us
North Shore Medical Center opened its doors to the community in 1953 with just 108 beds and 97 employees. Today, our hospital serves more than 80,000 patients a year. We’ve grown from providing basic healthcare services to a full-service acute care medical center providing some of the most sophisticated technology such as Edge Radiosurgery for cancer treatment, robotic surgery, a Hybrid Vascular Operating Room Suite, and high-risk maternity care with the highest level of neonatal intensive care for premature infants. We are the first certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center in Miami Dade. We constantly look for new opportunities to update our technology, and we are honored to care for you and your family members with compassion and skill.
