We are looking for Technology Services Interns! Position: Technology Services Intern Department: Technology Services Location: North Allegheny School District, PA Duration: Summer 2024 (June–August) Compensation: $13.00/hour About Us: North Allegheny School District is a forward-thinking public school district committed to providing quality education to our students. Our Technology Services Department plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless technology integration across our schools. Internship Overview: We are seeking motivated and tech-savvy interns to join our Technology Services team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the deployment of devices and upgrading infrastructure within our district. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing careers in information technology infrastructure, or related fields. Responsibilities: Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of laptops, tablets, and other devices. Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. Participate in infrastructure upgrades, including wireless networking upgrades, and networking enhancements. Provide technical support to teachers, and staff. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited associates or undergraduate program with a focus on information technology, technology infrastructure, technology operations, or a related field. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with Windows, iPadOS, and macOS operating systems. Preferred Skills: Experience with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) or Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of educational technology tools and platforms. Knowledge of network infrastructure terminology and technologies. Experience with device initialization and deployment. Benefits: Gain practical experience in a real-world educational setting. North Allegheny serves the municipalities of Bradford Woods Borough, Franklin Park Borough, Marshall Township and the Town of McCandless and encompasses a total of 48 square miles.
