Feel like you're always running after grants with limited time and a lot of requirements? Tiffany Thibodeau shares how to approach grants in a better way. "Enter the Grant Research & Funding Strategy, your roadmap to guide the grant opportunities you will pursue for the year. By implementing a strategy and preparing the associated deliverables, your organization can be thoughtful about where you invest your time, energy, and resources to apply for grants that are well-aligned to your program or project. The goal here is a return on investment, so focus on grants your organization has a strong chance of winning and ticks all the boxes for aligning with your mission, funding needs, and grant management scope." #nonprofit #nonprofitresources #grants

😎 Is it just us or does it feel like The Summer of the Communications Audit?   We've been plugging away with so many of our partners who want to make sure that they're being as strategic as possible and maximizing their resources. Comms audits let us pull back the curtains to make sure each and every tactic our partners are pursuing are truly giving them the ROI they want.   That's why we start every audit with three essential questions.   >> 1. Is your messaging clear and easy-to-understand?   People need to easily understand what you do – and why it matters – to be compelled to take action, think or feel differently.   After reading your key messaging, a reader should be able to understand why your work is critical – and even what specific action they should take, from making a donation to writing to their local city council.   >> 2. Are your communications materials consistent?   We see this all the time. A #nonprofit or #foundation may have one set of messaging on their homepage, then a different, outdated mission on their Instagram page, and branding that doesn’t match…well, anything, on their annual report.   This can hurt the trust you have with your most important audiences. And, it makes harder for your most important audiences to clearly understand why your work matters so much.   ✅ During a communications audit, we like to check for consistency across : - Messaging, including taglines, mission and key calls to action - Logo - Colors - Fonts - Overall look & feel   >> 3. Are you focused on the tactics that lead to the most ROI? Are you on TikTok when maybe you could be better reaching your most important audiences right here on LinkedIn?!   During a communications audit, we look at the 📊 stats to decide what to focus our energy on. Think impressions, clicks, HotJar data that maps where people are focusing their eyes on a website.   Choose your most successful strategies, cut the rest, and prepare to feel like you can put your whole brain towards communications that WORK.   #communications #advocacy #messaging

equity-focused nonprofit strategic planning and evaluation consultant 🎙️ Podcast Host | Mission: Impact

❇️Building a Human-Centric Nonprofit Sector In reflecting on 100 episodes of Mission: Impact podcast, I identified 10 lessons that I have learned about nonprofits seeking to build healthier cultures and for leaders who don't want to be a martyr to the cause. For the next 100 I would like to broaden the conversation and consider What does a healthier nonprofit sector actually look like? How might we redefine the social contract of nonprofit employment? 🌍 If we were to Imagine a sector where work works for everyone, where guardrails are built, and behaviors are modeled to demonstrate that it’s okay to be human while doing good work, we might not be having the nonprofit workforce crisis we are currently experiencing. If we were to imagine a sector where  leadership and volunteer roles are designed in a way that people are genuinely excited to step into, we would have to say no to passion exploitation, extraction, overwork, and martyrdom. What if we fostered and cultivated environments where space is made for play, creativity, fun, joy, and thriving? What steps are you taking to build a more human-centric work environment in your organization? Share your experiences! 🌟🗣️ #NonprofitLeadership #HealthyWorkCulture #SustainableNonprofits #MissionImpact _______________________ 👋Hi, I’m Carol Hamilton. As a nonprofit, you are always looking for ways to get more bang for your buck. When it comes to finding a vendor, you want to make sure you are getting the best possible service for your money. One way to do this is to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Conversation (RFC). But which one is right for your needs? And what does each mean? Are you a nonprofit using Google Analytics? Make sure you export your Universal Analytics Data before it sunsets!

24 days left until your Google Analytics will be deleted forever. 1 minute for you to have these thoughts: Your brain: Eh we're fine, I'm sure someone has saved that stuff. Your Long-term memory: Well, hold on, the exec team and board asked for a multi-year analytics report last year. Your brain: I'm listening... Memory: Seems like there will be more moments where the grants team will need historical reporting on our digital programs. Your brain: oh farts, we need to do something before this stuff gets deleted. Welp, I was looking for the next fire to steal all my priority work. So if you get questions like: https://lnkd.in/e-aSnDf5
