Drastic changes in tax policies can be hard for both large and small businesses. However, they’re particularly nerve-racking for home builders. Builders are expected to comply with many different tax regulations, from construction sales tax to permits, excise tax, property tax, and more. Any adjustments to these policies—no matter how small—can affect a construction firm’s bottom line. If one tax policy has undergone numerous changes, it’s the corporate tax rate. You might recall how former President Donald Trump and his administration reduced this rate during his era. Have you noticed how even minor tweaks in tax regulations can disrupt your business plans?

Before browsing listings and scheduling open houses, pause for a reality check. Ask yourself, "How much money do I need to buy a home in today's market?" Buckle up because the answer might come as a shock. We decided to test this question by surveying 1,000 people about their expectations for single-family home prices. Believe it or not, more than half of our respondents thought they could snag a single-family home for less than $250,000. That's right—in a market where prices have been soaring, most people we surveyed were hoping to find a bargain. Despite everything happening in the real estate market, there are still strategies to help you buy your dream home. Here are a few tips to help you maneuver this market: ➡️ Rather than spending a long time saving enough for a bigger house, look for a smaller one that fits your budget. ➡️ Pay off present debts to help you secure a better interest rate and get approved for more money. ➡️ Search for homes under your budget to help you have more power to enter into a bidding war if necessary. Don't let the challenges of the housing market hold you back any longer. NewHomesMate can help you find your dream home.
