Investing in Outsiders. We partner with tech startups at the 1st round of funding.

About us

New Stack was founded in 2015 with a mission to invest in the Outsiders. Founder, Nick Moran, launched the first VC podcast, one of the first AngelList Syndicates, and subsequently raised their first VC fund. After Fund 1 ($6M) exceeded top decile performance, the team raised a 7x larger vehicle ($42M) to accelerate their strategy. The firm continues to innovate, building software including VC Rank and the Seeker – all with the goal of identifying and partnering with the most transformational tech leaders of our generation. CEO at Light Frame

I am excited to lift the veil off Light Frame, today introducing the brand, the vision, and our team. Informed by our decades of experience in banking and technology, Light Frame is building the technologies which lay at the foundation of Private Banks and Wealth Managers. The Light Frame system will enable our partners to realize the full potential of modern technology, driving world class client experiences, streamlining operations, and delivering cutting-edge security. I’ve had the fortune to work alongside Mathieu CLEMENT, Philippe Kernevez, Gregory Bataille, and Sébastien Bros de Puechredon for the past months as we have progressed in building this generational technology. It is with extreme pleasure that I also welcome ATX Venture Partners, New Stack Ventures, Rogue Venture Partners, Half Court Ventures, StudioAlpha Capital, and Underdog Labs to the Light Frame team. I am exceptionally proud to work alongside such a sophisticated group of Swiss and American investors, many of whom who have laid the path for Light Frame to make its mark. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Matthew Costello, Annette Tonti, and the RIHub team for their support and guidance over the past months. #WealthTechnology #Preseed

    Building peek.money - your AI-powered personal CFO | ex-Google ex-Amazon

This ex-Uber exec raised US$7 million for her fintech startup - all while being a mother to three children🤯 Everyone watched as the VC-fueled bubble around "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) companies started to burst a few years back. As startups like Affirm, Klarna, and AfterPay racked up massive losses on unpaid debts, investors started to realize that giving out $24.2 billion in unsecured loans to finance online shopping sprees might be a bad idea after all 😅 But one female founder discovered an opportunity in the chaos. In 2023, Trasy Lou Walsh founded Fluid - a Singapore startup that powers BNPL services to B2B online marketplaces, and businesses like Coca-Cola 🥤 Unlike consumers - businesses don't borrow money to make reckless impulse purchases. But they often need to take out short-term loans to finance their inventory purchases, before they collect cash from their customers. And these regularly deliver double-digit interest rates to lenders! Fluid instantly finances B2B purchases within 10 seconds on any B2B online marketplace, and internal ordering systems for suppliers and distributors. Despite starting a company amid a VC funding winter, in a vertical that many investors considered dead, Trasy continues to defy the odds. Within just a year of launching, Fluid has: 💵 Raised US$7 million in funding from Iterative, New Stack Ventures, and Insignia Ventures Partners 💰 Onboarded thousands of enterprise users, including The Coca-Cola Company Her advice to other aspiring female founders? There is no better place or time, than here and now. She says that Singapore's tech scene has fostered a growing community of "incredibly ambitious, thoughtful, and resilient" female founders. If you're interested in learning more about Fluid, or are keen to learn how you can invest as a lender, give Trasy a shoutout! CEO & Co-Founder @ Gamify | Revenue Intelligence for the Field

There’s nothing quite like the relationship with your first investors. They enable us to win big, and that’s what we are here to do. Since working together with them for ~1 year, we have experienced 400% growth. We get to work with some of the very best, building a revenue intelligence platform for the deskless workforce. We get to build for a market much larger than the software sales market, yet it’s massively underserved and demanding of a robust GTM stack.
