At Neiman Marcus Group, NMG WOW (Way of Working) is a fundamental part of our NMG Way culture that empowers all our associates to do their best work, full stop. It’s comprised of four pillars: I Work Smarter, I am Present, I Integrate Life & Work, and I Empower & Am Empowered.      In support of the ‘I Work Smarter’ pillar, we recently launched an enterprise-wide campaign, challenging our teams to reinvest their time into work that drives impact, and empowering them to challenge whatever stands in the way of working at their best.      As our teams strive to prioritize their time, be present, and integrate life and work, we’re spotlighting a few associates who embody what it means to Work Smarter. We connected with Jacob Jarvis, Kellen Williams, and Roland M.––all of whom were recently recognized for the impact of their work smarter efforts! Jacob has maximized efficiency and transformed existing processes at our distribution centers to enhance our service level and reduce shipping times for customers; Kellen automated reports and improved processes to drive efficiency for our planning teams; and Roland boosted associate engagement and improved project quality for our Bergdorf Goodman Docents who educate visitors on the incredible history of Bergdorf’s and everything the store has to offer. Check out what working smarter means to them!

Neiman Marcus Group is proud to be named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion by Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities Disabilities for the second year in a row, earning a 100 on the Disability Equality Index®. The Disability Equality Index is the leading independent resource for the annual benchmarking of corporate disability inclusion, helping companies build a roadmap of measurable, tangible actions to achieve and advance disability inclusion and equality. As we remain committed to ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to be their best, Disability Inclusion remains a central piece of our culture of Belonging. In FY24, our efforts to improve NMG’s enterprise-wide accessibility have included partnering with Deque, a diverse and women-owned business, to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access our external digital content, as well as implementing career development programs tailored for associates with disabilities, such as Disability:IN’s Early Career Talent Accelerator. We are honored to be a top-scorer and receive this prestigious recognition, and we look forward to continuing our work in further advancing workplace equity in line with prominent external standards like the Disability Equality Index.

As summer heats up, our corporate Hubs in NYC and Dallas have been fostering community through intentional programming and activities. Check out some of the ways our teams have come together this month! At our NYC Hub, all associates are invited to a monthly ‘Breakfast Club’ to enjoy great company and conversation over a free breakfast. NYC associates also got the opportunity to attend a Wellness Event, including mini manicures and chair massages to help them unwind. Both hubs also hosted lively Happy Hours, pictured below! These Happy Hours offer associates the opportunity to relax, network, and socialize after a productive day, bringing teams together for a fun bonding experience. By providing a space for associates to connect, the Hubs foster teamwork, innovation, and collaboration, creating a unifying space for everyone. As we strive to Make Life Extraordinary for our customers, brand partners, and associates, bringing our teams together is apowerful tool to inspire creativity and empower them to be their best.

The Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman merchant teams headed to Men’s Fashion Week in Paris last month, attending runway shows and buying appointments of some of the world’s most desired brands. The team witnessed fashion history at Dries Van Noten’s final runway show for his namesake brand. The collection served as a bittersweet end to Dries’ 38-year-long career, reflecting on themes of the passage of time and transformation.    Throughout their time at Men’s Fashion Month, the team worked to curate the finest product selection for our customers, striving to Make Life Extraordinary by providing them access to the world’s premier luxury brands.

With Pride Month celebrations underway, we’re amplifying a few of NMG’s own LGBTQ+ voices to hear their perspectives on why it’s so important to celebrate Pride. We strive to cultivate a culture of Belonging at NMG, working to ensure all associates feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to be their best. In support of this commitment, we’re taking time during Pride Month to celebrate our LGBTQ+ peers and the many contributions made by the LGBTQ+ community to our history, culture, and society.    We connected with Krista Johnson and Allyson Sofia Seybert, who shared more on their experiences with Pride Month. Check out what they had to say!

Today is Juneteenth, a federal holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Originating in Galveston, Texas in 1865, the holiday’s significance carries on today and serves as an opportunity to educate ourselves about the history of slavery, reflect on how far our nation has come, and support Black communities.    In celebration of Juneteenth, Neiman Marcus Houston proudly hosted a Jubilee Art Exhibition, featuring curated pieces from 22 local artists in partnership with the D.R.E.A.M. Affect Foundation. Co-founded by local Black artists Lauren Luna and Carla Bisong, the D.R.E.A.M. Affect Foundation’s mission is to promote opportunities for future generations of artists through advocacy and education.    Customers, artists, and associates were invited to celebrate the Exhibition in an opening reception before its weeklong display in-store.    Read more about the D.R.E.A.M. Affect Foundation’s mission here: https://lnkd.in/ezE2FWNA
