Want to increase yields by 30%? 👇 🍃 Keep reading. Average crop loss rates for cannabis farms are somewhere between 23% and 44%, for greenhouse growers this figure will be on the lower end of the scale (20-30%). The most common causes of crop loss? 🐞 Pests, disease and environmental factors. Now, a lot of greenhouse cultivators are already using environmental sensors to maintain optimal greenhouse temperatures and humidity - And these sensors can work wonders - But they are missing something vital. 👉 Context. The average temperature in your greenhouse doesn't provide you with feedback about how your plants are doing individually. Or even the temperature of your plants. Your average temperature might be "optimal", but is it consistent across your entire canopy? Our data says otherwise. Without having a visual of your canopy and seeing the data broken down by canopy location, you can't truly action the learnings you are getting from your data. Every plant has different needs, and (looking at that 30% crop loss), every plant matters. The same goes for pests and disease. Have you ever missed the first signs of pests and disease, leading to it spreading across multiple plants? It's easily done. Even the best of the best aren't able to keep their eyes on every plant, all of the time. The signs and symptoms of pests, disease can start off small. So small, they are easily missed by the human eye. So, how can you possibly catch every sign when you have hundreds of plants to monitor? We'll be posting more info over the coming weeks, but here's a short intro to how in-context data with canopy visuals can give you more confidence in your cultivation methods and boost your yields! #aifarming #farmingtechnology #farmingtech #croploss #cropmanagement #cannabiscultivation #hempcultivation #hempindustry #hemp #cannabis #cannabisfarming #cannabisbusiness #cannabisindustry #cannabis

Cultivation management platform that uses AI and robotics to save labor and improve yields.
About us
Experts from the robotics, automation, and AI industries have come together to revolutionize the agricultural industry by designing technology that will improve yields, increase profits, and enhance sustainability through data. Our introductory product, the Neatleaf Spyder, is a first-of-its-kind autonomous robotic platform currently being deployed in greenhouses and indoor cultivation facilities. This technology exceeds the capabilities of the human eye or any static sensor, generating millions of data points every day and translating them into simple and actionable insights that cultivators can use to improve their processes and operating costs. At Neatleaf, we are a driving force for the next generation of technologies for agricultural industries. With offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Munich, Germany, we are bringing together a multidisciplinary and diverse group of world-class professionals with a mission to continuously innovate to make cultivation more sustainable.

"Machine learning is becoming increasingly common in indoor cannabis grows, as cultivators use sophisticated sensors and cameras to maintain optimal growing conditions, sound the alarm about threats such as pests or disease and reduce labor costs associated with both menial and high-level cultivation tasks." Kate Robertson mentioned in a recent article of MJBiz https://lnkd.in/gGWJvNZA Like with any new advancements, adapting to change can feel strange. But with the rapid evolution of AI that we are witnessing on a global level; soon, the choice to not work with AI could have huge consequences in itself. When everyone else is moving forwards, choosing to stand still is a choice to move backwards. There are two main reasons why cannabis and other indoor agriculture companies are implementing artificial intelligence or machine-learning technology in their facilities: • The labor, energy and other resources required to grow cannabis indoors are expensive, and technology powered by artificial intelligence (AI) can reduce those costs. • Consistency is key in any indoor agriculture facility, and AI can help deliver that consistency – even across facilities located in different states. So, what can cultivators do? It's important to look for adaptable solutions, which have the capability to change and evolve over time as we learn more about the capabilities of AI. That's what we have built with the Neatleaf Spyder. The Neatleaf Spyder enables you to remotely monitor and optimize your growing environment for each individual plant. Interested in learning more?
