Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (NAPI) is owned and operated by the Navajo Nation and is a 110,000 acre farm located in the heart of the high Southwest. NAPI's primary products under the Navajo Pride brand are: Alfalfa, No. 2 Corn, Winter Wheat, Tablestock Potatoes, and Pinto Beans. Our mission at NAPI is: “Continue the legacy of Navajo farming, producing superior products, practicing stewardship and creating value for our people." As one of the largest irrigated farms in the United States, we use our natural resources, technology and infrastructure to produce superior Navajo Pride brand products that are globally recognized from excellent relationships through customer service and stewardship for future generations.

  • On May 22, NAPI's Sales Coordinators visited and toured the Roadrunner Food Bank in Albuquerque, NM. In recent months, Navajo Pride products were included in the food distribution to provide hunger relief across the state of New Mexico, including the Navajo Nation. Per the website, Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico is a member of "Feeding America" and the largest non-profit organization dedicated to solving food insecurity in New Mexico.   • FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 17, 2024 NAPI ISSUES REMAINING PAYMENT OF APPROVED $2M TO THE NAVAJO NATION FOR FY24 FARMINGTON, NM – On May 17, Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (“NAPI”) issued the remaining dividend payment of $333,333.34 to the Navajo Nation for Fiscal Year 2024 to complete a total amount of $2 million. The payments were authorized and approved by NAPI’s Board of Directors with Resolution No. BDAU-1-23 on August 29, 2023. “On behalf of the Board of Directors at Navajo Agricultural Products Industry, we would like to present this quarterly capital contribution in accordance with Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren’s directive for Navajo Nation Business Enterprises to make a monetary return to the Navajo Nation and Navajo people,” said Lawrence Platero, NAPI Board Member. “NAPI continues to strive to generate revenue to assist the needs of the Navajo Nation.” The initial payment of $1 million was presented to the Resources and Development Committee of the 25th Navajo Nation Council during a regular meeting on October 25, 2023. The ensuing payments of $333,333.34 were issued each quarter on December 15, March 22, and current payment on May 17. The dividend payments are paid from NAPI’s operating account as a partial repayment of the capital contribution from the Navajo Nation. Per the Navajo Nation Council, the funds will be delivered to the Navajo Nation Office of the Controller and applied to this year’s comprehensive budget, which funds direct services and other resources that benefit the Navajo people and communities. NAPI is a wholly owned enterprise of the Navajo Nation responsible for operating and managing a commercial farm on land held in trust by the United States for the Navajo Nation under legislation authorizing the Navajo Indian Irrigation Project (“NIIP”).   • On March 28, the 15th Annual Vietnam Veterans & Women Warrior Honor Walk traveled through NAPI on NM Vietnam Veterans Memorial HWY (HWY 371). The participants honored Purple Heart Recipients and Women Warriors and is sponsored by the Doolkai (Upper Fruitland) Vietnam Veterans with the Eastern Agency Vietnam Veterans. The Veterans began their Honor Walk in Thoreau, NM on March 26 with breaks in Crownpoint and Lake Valley. All Veterans and bikers are welcome to participate.   • FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 25, 2024 NAPI ISSUES ANOTHER DIVIDEND PAYMENT TOWARD APPROVED $2 MILLION TO THE NAVAJO NATION FARMINGTON, NM – Another dividend payment of $333,333.34 was issued to the Navajo Nation by Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (“NAPI”) on March 22. The payment was authorized and approved by NAPI’s Board of Directors on August 29, 2023, with Resolution BDAU-1-23, and part of a total amount of $2 million. The first payment of $1 million was presented to the 25th Navajo Nation Council’s Resources and Development Committee (“RDC”) during an RDC regular meeting on October 25, 2023. Thereafter, a payment of $333,333.34 was issued on December 15, 2023. The most current payment has brought the total amount to $1,666.666.68. By the next quarter, the final payment will be issued to total the $2 million payment. The dividend payments are paid from NAPI’s Operating Account as a partial repayment of the Capital Contribution from the Navajo Nation. During the presentation of the initial payment, RDC Vice-Chair Casey Allen Johnson (Cameron, Coalmine Canyon, Birdsprings, Leupp, Tolani Lake) said it was “encouraging to know that enterprises like NAPI are giving back to the Nation although they aren’t required to.” NAPI’s leadership took note and encourages other Navajo enterprises to follow the company mission of “creating value for our people” by contributing back to the Navajo Nation. Per the Navajo Nation Council, the funds will be delivered to the Navajo Nation Office of the Controller and applied to this year’s comprehensive budget, which funds direct services and other resources that benefit the Navajo people and communities. During the holidays, NAPI Region 2 Store will be CLOSED on Monday, December 25 and Monday, January 1st to observe Christmas and New Years.
