Today, we celebrate a significant achievement for the disability rights movement and for all those living with MS. The ADA has played a pivotal role in advancing accessibility, bettering employment prospects, and advocating for reasonable accommodations. As we take a moment to acknowledge our strides, we acknowledge that our journey is far from over. Together, we continue to champion the cause, amplifying the voices of those living with MS and ensuring their rights are protected and their voices heard.#MultipleSclerosis #ADAAnniversary

It's National Intern Day, and we want to give a huge thank you to all of our interns! All of the work you do to help the Society find a cure is an important part of the journey. Our very own social media intern, Kristy Wu, is a junior at Washington State University studying Marketing and Communications. She says, "I am super excited to learn lots of new things from my amazing team, and I am looking forward to being able to contribute to a great cause and help the advocacy of MS." Whether in the space of helping our events come to life, helping spread the word via social media, or something else, we appreciate everything our interns do. Below are just a few of many who help us. Thank you to all of our interns for the hard work you do!

What does a cure mean to you? Is it about gaining freedom, finding hope, restoring mobility, or something else entirely? Every day, we're dedicated to advancing towards that goal. And with your support, we've made incredible progress: - 210 cutting-edge, Society-funded research projects underway - At least 10 potential myelin repair treatments now in clinical trials - Over 230 genetic variants linked to MS have been discovered This July, every penny you contribute to our July research campaign will directly fuel our work for a cure. Don't miss out on this chance to become a research hero: https://lnkd.in/g8rbusEY

#InternSpotlight: Today, we'd like to highlight our Legal Intern, Ree Hong! Coming from Seoul, Korea and studying at University of Minnesota Law School, Ree says she's very excited to learn and contribute to the Society from a legal perspective. "It offers a fantastic opportunity to learn how to mitigate legal risks and enhance compliance, ultimately serving our MS community better. The active communication and systematic teamwork within the legal team are truly inspiring! Also, my supervisor and teammates are amazing, always willing to help and advise, fostering growth and development for interns." A fun fact about Ree is she says she's never experienced any jet lag in her entire life! Welcome to the Society, Ree - we're grateful you're here!

An important part of MS research is understanding why it occurs – so we can stop it before it starts. Philip De Jager, MD, PhD, created the Genes Environment in MS project to answer the genetic questions around MS. Your July Research campaign gift goes 100% towards MS research and helps scientists make more discoveries like this. Give today at: https://lnkd.in/g8rbusEY

#InternSpotlight: Rachel, the Society's Prospect Research Intern, says she "hopes to meet a lot of other interns and build some connections and help those with MS in any way that I can." A senior at University of Southern California, she is studying psychology and economics, and also enjoys going on road trips throughout California. Thank you for your hard work, Rachel!
