  • We are excited to announce NABCO’s latest project, bringing our knowledge in Air Balance to Visa's stunning new Market Support Center at Mission Rock, San Francisco.   San Francisco now hosts Visa's innovative headquarters at the intersection of Toni Stone Crossing and Dr. Maya Angelou Lane. This new space is designed to reflect the dynamic nature of the payments industry and the future of commerce.   Our team at NABCO, led by Project Manager Kevin Burleigh, worked on establishing optimal air balance throughout this state-of-the-art facility. With 13 floors of diverse work environments, from collaborative spaces to quiet zones, and a range of multifunctional rooms and terraces, maintaining perfect air quality and balance was crucial.   We proudly collaborated with mechanical contractor Critchfield Mechanical, Inc. and general contractor Truebeck Construction to bring this project to life. Their exceptional work and dedication were key to the successful completion of this remarkable headquarters.   Visa's new HQ is not just a workspace but a vision realized — a testament to years of planning, collaboration, and dedication. Nearly 1,000 Visa employees are now enjoying a flexible, open, and innovative environment tailored to foster creativity and connection.   We are proud to have contributed to such a landmark project that not only shapes the future of work but also stays true to the spirit of San Francisco — a city we all love for its history, technological advancement, and vibrant community. A huge congratulations to Visa USA on this incredible milestone.   #NABCO #AirBalance #WaterBalance #VisaHQ #SanFrancisco #Innovation #FutureOfWork #MissionRock #BuildingTheFuture #HVAC #EnvironmentalConsulting #CritchfieldMechanical #TruebeckConstruction #NABCOStrong

  • Healthcare Construction Trends in California and Nevada At NABCO, we're witnessing dynamic growth in the healthcare construction landscape, especially in California and Nevada. With significant projects in Sacramento, San Francisco, Fresno, Los Angeles, and Reno, our team is experiencing a boom in healthcare facility development. Healthcare Design Magazine lists these notable trends:  - Financial pressures and the need for advanced, flexible care environments are driving substantial growth in healthcare renovations and new construction.  - Renovations are outpacing new constructions, comprising 56% of completed projects, reflecting the ongoing demand for modernizing existing healthcare infrastructure. Healthcare Facilities Management Magazine (American Hospital Association notes that: - More organizations are building ambulatory facilities — an increase from 7% in their 2023 survey to 12% in 2024 for “currently under construction.”  - Better connected hospital equipment and systems were also identified as priorities in the survey. Our team at NABCO is proud to contribute to this growth in Healthcare by providing specialized Air and Water balance, and life safety system testing services for diverse projects. Through closely partnering with our Mechanical Contractor partners, we participate in the early phases of HVAC design to achieve optimal outcomes, including: - TAB Optimization: We inform system design to ensure the proper devices for effective and efficient TAB. - Proactive Schedule Management: We have a big hand in project development, creating informed and aligned project schedules. - Quality Delivery: We perform ongoing project site inspections to elevate quality. - Timely Handoff: We meet with the AHJ and MEOR to ensure timely turnover of the final TAB report, which is particularly important for critical healthcare facilities. We've supported significant healthcare groups in the Southwest, including UCSF Department of Medicine, Kaiser Permanente, and Sutter Health , ensuring optimal performance and safety in their facilities.   As the California and Nevada regions continue to thrive, NABCO remains committed to leveraging our expertise to support the evolving needs of healthcare facilities. By focusing on air and water balance, we help create environments that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.   We look forward to continuing to innovate with our construction partners to build a healthier future together.   nabco.biz #AirBalance #WaterBalance #HealthcareConstruction #California #Nevada #SpecialtyContractors #HealthcareInnovation #NABCO #SustainableConstruction #PatientCare #NABCOStrong

  • Happy Earth Day from all of us at NABCO! Today, as we honor and celebrate our planet, we're reminded of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability. This year, EARTHDAY.ORG has underscored a critical theme: Planet vs. Plastics, advocating for a significant reduction in plastic production and the urgent phasing out of single-use plastics. As part of the HVAC and Air Balancing community, we at NABCO are committed to aligning our practices with these vital environmental principles. - Sustainable HVAC Solutions: In a world increasingly affected by climate change, HVAC systems must adapt to handle not just temperature but also humidity levels efficiently. As we learn that appliances like air conditioners are major energy consumers. - Air Balancing for Efficiency: Proper air balancing ensures that HVAC systems do not overwork themselves, particularly on humid days when the temptation is to lower temperatures excessively. Using an #AirBalance expert helps maintain optimal balance, significantly cutting down energy use.   - Innovation for a Better Tomorrow: Recognizing the pressing need to combat climate change, NABCO invests in next-generation technology that provides for more efficiency. By incorporating advanced filtration technologies and smart design, we strive to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations and of our clients. - Join Us in Making a Difference: This Earth Day, we invite you to reflect on your energy usage and consider steps toward more sustainable energy practices. Whether upgrading to high-efficiency systems, regular maintenance, or adopting new technologies that align with a more sustainable future, every action counts.   Together, we can tackle the challenges posed by rising global temperatures and increased energy demands. Let’s celebrate Earth Day by embracing innovations that lead to a healthier planet and a sustainable tomorrow. 🌎💚 To learn more about #EarthDay2024, visit: https://lnkd.in/g7TSpkQj #Construction #AirBalance #WaterBalance #SustainableConstruction #EarthDay #EarthDay2024 #NABCOStrong

  • NABCO's Commitment to Ladder Safety - March is National Ladder Safety Month!   This March , NABCO proudly supports the American Ladder Institute (ALI) in promoting National Ladder Safety Month. Every step matters, from step stools to extension ladders, and ensuring you're putting the right foot forward is crucial.   Why It's Important: Annually, over 100 people tragically lose their lives in ladder-related accidents, and thousands more are seriously injured. National Ladder Safety Month is the pivotal time to elevate awareness and reduce these alarming statistics.   OSHA Recommendations: - Maintain a 3-point contact when climbing/descending a ladder - Face the ladder when climbing or descending - Keep the body inside the side rails - Use extra care when getting on or off the ladder at the top or bottom - Avoid tipping the ladder over sideways or causing the ladder base to slide out - Carry tools in a tool belt or raise tools up using a hand line; never carry tools in your hands while climbing up/down a ladder - Extend the top of the ladder three feet above the landing - Keep ladders free of any slippery materials   Safe Practices: It’s vital to maintain 3-point contact on ladders, ensure they're on stable ground, and never exceed their load rating. For comprehensive DOs and DON’Ts of ladder safety, visit OSHA Safety Training Institutehttps://lnkd.in/e49dtcwi.   Join Us: As NABCO commits to enhancing safety in every step, we encourage our community to actively participate in National Ladder Safety Month. Together, we can foster a safer environment and significantly reduce the risks associated with ladder use.   #NationalLadderSafetyMonth #SafetyFirst #NABCO #LadderSafety #WorkplaceSafety #AirBalance #WaterBalance #ConstructionSafety #NABCOStrong
