🤔 Ever wondered how the nanostructure of LNPs affects RNA delivery? 👨🔬 This important question is explored in “Lipid nanoparticle topology regulates endosomal escape and delivery of RNA to the cytoplasm” by Lining Zheng et. al. 🔬 Using cryo-TEM, they visualize siRNA-LNPs with different nanostructures including lamellar, inverse hexagonal, and bicontinuous cubic. Interestingly, they show that bicontinuous cubic LNPs have greater in vitro fusogenicity and transfection efficiency than lamellar LNPs. 💡The study provides evidence that #LNP nanostructure influences #RNA delivery efficiency. 📑 Read the paper now: https://lnkd.in/gsaHsjDu 📩 Reach out to us today to see how we can apply #cryoTEM to your #LNPs to provide critical insights.

💡 #Oncology research is making significant strides thanks to advancements in protein structure analysis techniques like cryo-EM. Used in conjunction with other analytical tools, like XRC, cryo-EM can provide additional insights into the interactions between molecules. 👨🔬 In a recent study, Nested Therapeutics leveraged cryo-EM to investigate their pan-RAF-MEK #molecularglue. While traditional inhibitors targeting the RAS-MAPK pathway have limitations, novel approaches like pan-RAF-MEK molecular glues offer the potential for more effective cancer therapies. 🔬 The use of #cryoEM helped validate the glue's binding to the target protein; revealing a clear density for their molecule within a specific site of MEK1. This finding strongly supports the glue's ability to engage with activated RAF signaling complexes, key drivers of cancer progression. 📑 Read the study now: https://lnkd.in/gGXapyCn
