August 22nd Terrace Hotel Demolition Tour NAIOP welcomes you to join our Event Sponsor, Priestly Demolition | Green City Demolition for a behind the scenes tour of the Terrace Hotel, where our demolition experts will explain the process of demolition on this structure, how an engineered demolition plan comes together onsite, why safety has to be the number 1 priority, some of the challenges of working on an abandoned building in an urban setting, and most importantly, how we can help you in the beginning stages of your next development. Quite often your PM’s are too busy to look after the demolition component of the project or don’t have the background knowledge to understand why this initial phase is so important to the success of a project. Let us explain. Meet Dan Thomas, President of Green City Demolition as well as other members of the PDI and Green City team on August 22nd, at 4pm . The Terrace Plaza Hotel is an 18-storey International Style mixed-use building completed in 1948 in downtown Cincinnati. It sits at 15 Sixth St West between Vine and Race Streets. The building is now owned and will be redeveloped by the NOVO Group. The Terrace Plaza was the first hotel designed by SOM and one of the first modern hotels in the United States. Its lobby, located on the eighth floor, was reached by express elevators from the street entrance. Two department stores originally occupied the first seven floors. The top floor, home to a small gourmet restaurant, offered panoramic views of the city. At the start of our event we will do a quick check-in and site safety orientation before we begin our tour. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. Space is limited so reserve your spot today. AGENDA 4:00 p.m. – Meet/Register Lobby Entrance 4:15 p.m. – Speaking presentation from Green City Demolition 4:20 p.m. – Walking tour of rooftop and apartment/condo spaces 5:00 p.m. – Event conclusion and Networking IN PERSON Thursday August 22, 2024 4:00pm – 6:00pm Terrace Hotel 15 W 6th Street Cincinnati, OH 45202 NAIOP MEMBERS: Free NON-NAIOP MEMBERS: $35 If you are a NAIOP Annual Sponsor, please email Natalie with your two free attendees.

The NAIOP of Ohio Legislative Day is a small but powerful example of why over 20,000 of us are involved in NAIOP across this country. There is no better way to create jobs, housing, sought after amenities and overall economic growth and sustainability in our local communities than through CRE development…and it’s our job to remind (some) elected officials how to keep this going. If you are involved (directly or indirectly) in commercial real estate development in Cincinnati/NKY and you are not a member of https://lnkd.in/gxNEZETU you’re missing out and we need you. Please reach out to Natalie Pond immediately if not sooner to get signed up!
The 2024 NAIOP of Ohio Annual Meeting & Legislative Day concluded with increased engagement with members of the state legislature and an energized message that the Ohio's economic development policies are making an impact. Thank you to NAIOP National Chairman Brian Walker for joining us and carrying with you the encouragement to work with our officials at all levels of government. Congratulations to NAIOP Northern Ohio, NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development-Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Chapter, NAIOP Dayton, and Central Ohio Chapter of Naiop for sending your leaders to Columbus for this important annual event. #commercialrealestate #naiop #economicdevelopment

The February Commercial Builders Council event was one for the books! Our distinguished speaker Ken Simonson, president of the AGC, delivered a talk that provided context for the challenges that our industry has navigated over the past years, along with hope and direction for years to come. A sentiment worth nothing: skilled labor is in demand now more than ever. It is an important time to support young tradespeople in developing skils. But it wasn't all that serious. This was a great opportunity for BIA NKY and NAIOP members to come together and network. This is also an example of a great event that is open to non-members. If you are thinking about joining The Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky, events like this are a great way to see what we are all about. #BIANKY #BuildersAssociationNKY #BuildingKentucky #NAIOP

Last night, NAIOP Cincinnati hosted a special event at the District of Deerfield. A large group of commercial real estate professionals took a tour of the property and heard a presentation from Ryan Silverman and his development team. Anchored by line-up of a best-in-class restaurant and entertainment operators, this $150M pedestrian friendly development in the heart of Mason Montgomery Road’s super regional trade area is well under construction. Welcoming Fifty West Brewing Company, Bakersfield, The Eagle, Pins Mechanical CO. and a public square that will be owned and programmed by Deerfield Township, the District at Deerfield is sure to be the ultimate destination for all ages!
