Do you eat BLUE FOODS? 🌊🐟 “Blue foods” are aquatic animals, plants or algae that are caught or cultivated in fresh water and the ocean. A vital food source to 3 billion people all over the world, they also are tied to 800 million people’s livelihoods. But how do we feed ourselves while also protecting and saving our waters? In June, PBS will be airing a groundbreaking, three-part docuseries called HOPE IN THE WATER. In this series created by Fed by Blue, a Multiplier project, you can join celebrated environmentalists Shailene Woodley, Baratunde Thurston, Martha Stewart, and Chef José Andrés in discovering creative solutions and breakthrough blue food technologies around the globe that could not only feed us but help save our threatened seas and fresh waterways. In hearing the stories of amazing innovators, water farmers, and fishers who are working toward a sustainable future for the planet, viewers will find inspiration and hope in the life-giving resource that covers 71% of our planet’s surface. To hear more about the series and blue foods, visit: https://bit.ly/47hRiD8 And make sure you’re following Fed by Blue for updates! Hope in the Water is produced by Intuitive Content and Andrew Zimmern in collaboration with David E. Kelley Productions. #HopeInTheWaterPBS #FedbyBlue #BlueFoods
