I had a conversation with Marcelle Acosta-Rubio on this topic recently, the SVP and Director of Talent Development at City National Bank of Florida, and she shared that the key to learning and development is this... Assessing and reassessing CONSTANTLY what the needs of your employees are. And that means asking them what works and what doesn't! There is no "best" way that people intake information, the best you can do is meet your people where they are at and create environments that they can thrive in.     Employees who can handle adversity and failure - and not just let it break them, but take it and make it work FOR them - are the type of people you should fill your organization with. If a potential hire can... → lead with humility,  → admit when they've screwed up,  → and come back stronger on the next go-round, then that is going to be a stellar employee who will actually LEARN and IMPROVE after making a mistake. Isn't that every employer's dream?
