He supports senior staff with CAD drafting and modeling, development of specifications and construction administration services. Dev enjoys bringing a fresh perspective to the team while introducing modern processes that assist with record keeping and ease of use. Dev grew up outside of Toronto and recently moved to New Jersey. Outside of the office, he spends his free time developing his hands-on skills by working on home improvement projects and performing maintenance on his vehicle. His interest in construction and mechanical systems enhances the projects he works on at Morris Engineering.

Maintenance is always less expensive than repairs. This 4-level cast in place concrete parking structure was built in the early 1980s. Concrete falling from above alerted the owner that the structure was deteriorating and in need of immediate remedial work. Morris Engineering evaluated the structure, developed structural repair and waterproofing plans, then assisted the client in obtaining bids and engaging a contractor. The repair work is now underway, and Morris Engineering is on site evaluating existing damage and observing the repair process. We are also providing Special Inspection of the repair work, per N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.20 requirements. Stay tuned for the "After" photos! Quite the upgrade for this apartment community in Montclair! Morris Engineering developed specifications and provided part-time construction observation services for the replacement of 42 deck stacks. The decks had reached the end of their useful life and the apartments wanted a replacement option with reduced maintenance. The chosen solution was composite decking, PVC rails, and PVC trim. The need for a painting program was eliminated and the aesthetic of the community was boosted. Added bonus: the project was completed timely and under budget. Let us know what you think!
