About us

Oral integrin therapies for patients with immunological, fibrotic, neoplastic and vascular diseases. Morphic Tx is joining a three decade quest led by our scientific founder, Tim Springer, who initially discovered the integrin receptor family in the 1980s. This receptor family is an important drug target that has fueled the successful development of six injectable therapies approved for treatment of multiple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, plaque psoriasis, acute coronary syndrome and complications during percutaneous coronary intervention. Despite blockbuster commercial success, integrins have remained out of reach as small molecule drugs...until now.

Check out live video of A4B7 inhibition at the cellular level! Today at DDW 2024, Morphic presented new data, including live, in vivo video of A4B7 inhibition. This study uses spinning disk intravital microscopy (IVM) which allows us to see the rapid impact of MT-108, a potent and selective small molecule A4B7 inhibitor in a murine model. Click on the video below to see B cells expressing A4B7 as they pass through the vasculature of gut tissue. Prior to treatment, they move slowly as they are being bound to MADCAM-1, the ligand of A4B7. This binding eventually leads to the cell slowing down, stopping, and being pulled into the gut tissue where the inflammation characteristic of IBD occurs. However, 30 minutes after administration of the A4B7 inhibitor, you can easily visualize the fluorescent cells moving more quickly - passing through the blood vessels unimpeded in this real time video of the mechanism of action. Importantly, the velocity of cell movement is comparable to a DATK32, monoclonal antibody that is a murine analog of the biologic IBD treatment, vedolizumab. TAKE STEPS WITH US! For the third year in a row, Morphic is proud to participate in the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Greater Boston Take Steps Walk on Saturday, June 1. We are excited to participate again and continue supporting CCF in their critical work. Take Steps is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s largest nationwide fundraising campaign, to raise awareness and funds to accelerate the progress of breakthrough inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) research and to support critical patient programs. It is a walk experience that brings communities together — letting IBD patients and their families know that they're not alone. To date, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation has invested $500M in groundbreaking research to advance understanding of the causes, treatments and cures for IBD. Some of these initiatives are designed to directly aid patients in their daily lives with IBD, including Gut Friendly Recipes, which helps those living with IBD, or their caregivers, reduce stress around meal choices and enjoy cooking, and IBDMedicationGuide.org, a user-friendly guide with all available medications for patients living with IBD. Morphic is striving to achieve a fundraising goal of $35,000 for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. If you would like to support our goal, please donate to one of our team pages using the search function in the link below: ·        Morphic Gut Busters ·        Morphic Therapeutic: Tract Stars ·        Morphic Therapeutic: U-C the Difference ·        Morphic Tx: Guardians of the GI Tract ·        Morphic Tx: Strollin for the Colon #IBD #UC #CD https://lnkd.in/eVExjH-D
