Reflecting on a Remarkable Day at UW-Madison Public Service Fair 🌟 Badgers, Participating in the UW-Madison Public Service Fair was an absolute highlight. The conversations we had were a testament to the potential the UW-Madison community has partnering with the Madison Metropolitan School District. As a UW Senior, I have watched myself grow through the Achievement Connections program starting as a peer Tutor in 2018. Last year I interned for the program at the Morgridge Center leading me to serve as the current AmeriCorps Campus Recruiter! Achievement Connections is all about empowering youth here in Madison by increasing math literacy. It was wonderful to see so many of you resonating with our mission! Bucky's Big Event is more than just a service day; it's a chance for us to make a positive impact, foster meaningful connections, and embody the Wisconsin Idea, which emphasizes the role of the university in solving real-world problems and improving the lives of those around us. These Badgers are starting the school year off on the right foot! We hosted 29 UW students at Camp Brandenburg today as part of Bucky's Big Event, a campus-wide day of service. They divided and conquered indoor and outdoor tasks to get camp ready for the fall season ahead.
