    co-founder @ mintlify - we're hiring!

The API Playground was one of our first feature requests. V1 was built by my co-founder in 2 days and didn't even use OpenAPI. For the final day of Launch Week III, we're excited to bring you full OpenAPI Automation. Now, you can simply reference the link to your OpenAPI document to autogenerate your API Reference page. Check out the full blog in the comments to learn more!

    building @ mintlify

At Mintlify, we know that documentation is never one-size-fits-all. Content is best when it's tailored to the specific user profile - documentation is no different. In fact, it's one of the many reasons we look up to Stripe and their documentation. Since our early days, we've wondered how we can build truly "personalized docs." Today, we're getting closer to that vision by launching User Authentication for docs. With User Authentication, your docs can now: ◆ Hide or show certain pages based on user permissions ◆ Customize content depending on user identity ◆ Automatically pre-fill API keys This was such a challenge to build, and I'm really excited to see what this unlocks for our users. Interested in seeing it in action? Check out the link in the comments

Starting today, you can create branches and PRs in Mintlify's web editor. Branches allows you to create separate versions of your documentation without affecting the main project — they're like parallel universes for code. Once you're happy with the your changes on your branch, you can create a pull request, which allows you to propose changes to the main project for review from your team, without having to go to your IDE or GitHub. To learn more about how it works, check out the video 👇

As companies grow, cross-team collaboration becomes increasingly more important. We're bringing branching functionality to our web editor for Day 3 of Launch Week. After launching our editor last year, we've been amazed by the number of non-technical users coming into Mintlify, including marketers and customer success leaders.  With our revamped dashboard editor, you can now: ◆ Write drafts of your docs without affecting the production docs ◆ Create branches and pull request so team members can review your changes ◆ Allow cross-team collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders in the team Start cooking up drafts for your documentation directly in the dashboard!

Users can become easily frustrated if your docs don't have great search. You'll see an influx of support tickets asking how to get started, where to find information on important features, and details on your API. For Mintlify's Launch Week III Day 2, we're bringing Search V2 to your docs. We're excited to bring you: ◆ An upgraded UI: We've updated our search experience to feel sleek, clean, and modern. ◆ Indexing OpenAPI endpoints: Now, you can directly query endpoint descriptions and titles to reach API Reference pages. ◆ Remove hidden pages from search: MDX files not included in mint.json will not show up in the sidebar or search bar. ◆ Indexing support for components. JSX attributes of all of our components are now searchable. Head over to our blog post in the comments to learn more about the search upgrades!

The best compliment we get at Mintlify is when our customers' docs are mistaken for being built in-house.  The look and feel of your documentation should be easily customizable and match 1:1 with your branding. That's why to kick off Launch Week, we're bringing themes to your docs.  Today, we're bringing 3 new completely different styles of our starter kit with new layouts, component styles, and color schemes to make your docs shine.  Check out how to get started in the comments!

At Mintlify, we spend a lot of time talking to our users to understand how we can build things to 10X their dev workflows. That's why today, we're excited to launch the Mintlify REST API. Now, you can programmatically trigger an update whenever desired as part of your CI/CD - this is most helpful for folks who are hosting their OpenAPI in a separate repo from their docs. Also wanted to give a shoutout to Unkey team for managing the secrets! It was such a breeze to set up. Great product James Perkins and Andreas Thomas 👏
