Meet Lisa Lee, a 2024 summer associate in our #Seattle office and rising 3L at Seattle University School of Law! Lisa is the research and technical editor of SU Law's Seattle Journal for Social Justice and will have an article published in the Journal's next volume. Before attending law school, she served in the United States Navy as an Officer in Human Resources. Most recently, she was employed with the Washington State Attorney General's Office as a Legal Assistant in the division of Licensing and Administrative Law. When asked why she chose to join Miller Nash for the summer, Lisa says, "I chose Miller Nash because I had such positive experiences interacting with the attorneys from the firm, from my first introduction with an SU alum at a campus event and then later during the interview process. I enjoyed working at Miller Nash during my first summer and appreciated the opportunities to engage with clients, work on projects across multiple practice areas, and observe depositions, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings. Under Subchapter V of Chapter 11 of the #Bankruptcy Code, #SmallBusiness debtors can reorganize and discharge debts under special terms.
