We were thrilled to welcome our special guest speaker, Yasmin Benoit, to lead this important discussion. During the session, Yasmin explored how fully embracing your LGBTQ+ identity fuels personal pride. We delved into radical self-acceptance, and Yasmin discussed how different identities intersect and influence self-acceptance within the LGBTQ+ community. She also provided valuable tools to cultivate self-love, emphasizing the importance of starting with self-understanding to foster a supportive environment. Yasmin Benoit is a leading British model and award-winning asexual activist, known for diversifying the modeling industry and advocating for the rights of underrepresented communities. 🌟 Lunch + Learn Recap! 🌟 Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting our lovely Caitlin George, Senior Manager of Social Media Strategy, for an insightful Lunch + Learn session. Caitlin shared her incredible journey at Milk Makeup and her professional background. In college, Caitlin studied Business Management without knowing exactly which area of marketing she wanted to pursue. She emphasized that it's okay not to have a job lined up right after graduation. Her career path has given her exposure to various brands, from snack foods to the beauty industry, providing her with a unique opportunity to bridge different sectors. Caitlin's path from studying Business Management to becoming a Senior Manager of Social Media Strategy at Milk Makeup is a surprising yet fulfilling journey. Back in college, social media marketing wasn't as clearly defined as it is today. Despite the uncertainty, Caitlin navigated her way through and found her calling in social media. What she finds most rewarding about working in this field is the perfect mix of creativity and analytics. This blend enables her to introduce innovative ideas while also relying on solid data insights, offering her the best of both worlds. Caitlin also highlighted the importance of separating her work from personal time on social media. She has created a space where she intentionally avoids work-related activities on her phone, ensuring a healthy balance between her professional and personal life.
