Miami-Dade Transit is the 15th largest public transit system in the USA, and the largest transit agency in the State of Florida. It connects people to places by providing a high-quality, safe, reliable, clean, and efficient mass transit system that meets the travel needs of the County's growing population and we provide vital transportation infrastructure systems and services. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) develops, coordinates and operates the County’s transportation networks with the goal of improving mobility to create a safer, more resilient, connected and sustainable community for our residents, businesses and visitors.

Today, Director Eulois Cleckley and the RAMBO (Restoring Activating Mobility Basic Operation) team, which includes members from Miami-Dade County DTPW Rail Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Office of Security and Safety, and the Office of Innovation, visited several Metromover stations. The visit aimed to enhance station signage, way finding, digital messaging, and overall appearance. DTPW remains committed to modernizing the customer experience across all modes of transit in Miami-Dade County. Stay tuned for more updates on our continuous efforts to improve your transit experience!
Today, Director Eulois Cleckley and the Executive Leadership Team, facilitated by Assistant Director Melissa Rolle-Scott, TSSP, celebrated Miami-Dade County DTPW interns. Last week, the nation honored interns across the U.S. for National Intern Day. Our interns have been deployed across multiple divisions, getting the chance to work with transit planners, government affairs officials, marketing and communication specialists, and public works professionals. Through a partnership with COMTO MIAMI CHAPTER, Miami-Dade County and the Office of Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, interns are gaining professional and hands-on experience working with the 15th largest transit provider in the U.S.

Yesterday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Phase V of Brownsville Transit Village! Joined by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Commissioner Eileen Higgins, the Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development team, and our project partners, we marked this exciting milestone for #OurCounty. This new phase will add 120 affordable housing units and retail space, enhancing our Transit Oriented Community near the Brownsville Metrorail Station. With completion expected in August 2025, we look forward to the positive impact this will have on our residents and the community.

Another big win for Miami-Dade and DTPW! We are extremely grateful for the investment from US DOT and Congresswoman Wilson for supporting this project. https://lnkd.in/eMFdQxyT
We are honored to receive a $100.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation Bridge Investment Program for the Venetian Causeway Project. This funding will support the replacement and rehabilitation of 11 historic bridges, enhancing safety and mobility between Miami and Miami Beach. The new bridges, designed for a 75-year lifespan, will preserve the causeway’s original appearance while incorporating modern safety features. This project will also generate jobs and protect a key evacuation route. We thank Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, and our Congressional delegation for their support.
