The total sales in December 2023 were approximately $103.61 million, a 6.4% increase from the previous month but a 4.6% decrease year over year. The average item price slightly decreased from $13.08 in November 2023 to $13.01 in December 2023. Despite a positive month-over-month growth, the year-over-year sales and unit growth rates suggest a slight contraction in the market. 🌼 Category Performance: Vapor Pens 🌼 Vapor Pens, particularly the All-in-one Disposable segment, have shown a remarkable trend in Washington. In December 2023, this segment's sales reached nearly $9.89 million, with an impressive year-over-year sales growth of 117.3% and unit growth of 123.3%. The average item price was $23.63, indicating a slight decrease from the previous month. Looks like the MSO's just might get their bailout. Many will crow about this being a victory for the cannabis industry --- but those of us who believe in an equitable industry and those of us who believe that no one should be in jail for a plant will likely not be rejoicing as this will do nothing to remove criminal penalties and still classifies cannabis in a way that is inconsistent with the reality that it is objectively safer than any other substance on the controlled substances list. This will look like momentum, but this will be the biggest blow to our political potency at the federal level we have seen and I truly believe we will not see federal prohibition end for another decade. #cannabis #cannabisindustry
