Memphis City Beautiful recognizes the power of beauty and celebrates the beautifully landscaped spaces that many of our local businesses create! Back in the 80s, we established the Beautiful Business Awards to highlight the local businesses that positively impact the appearance of our great city. We are excited to announce the revival of this recognition effort with the first spotlight on The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. We loved watching their spring tulips bloom and bring a pop of color to the downtown campus. We invite everyone to celebrate local beautiful businesses with us!

Thank you, Memphians, for making Recycling Roundup 2024 a huge success! 426 households dropped off over 30,000 pounds of materials and counting. Final collection numbers will be posted to tectn.org/recyclingroundup. The Recycling Roundup was made possible through partnering with the TENNESSEE ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL and the support of Nobody Trashes Tennessee. Thank you for helping us keep Memphis beautiful! Thank you to all the volunteers and vendors who helped us collect these items: Liberty Tire (tires), S3 Recycling Solutions (electronics), Direct Shred (paper shredding), Salvation Army (clothing and shoes), Worley Brothers (scrap metal) Memphis Animal Service (pet supplies), Memphis Police Department (medications), IKEA (cardboard) and BDC Corporation (mattresses and Styrofoam) were all on-site to collect materials. For more information on recycling in Memphis, check out some of these resources: https://lnkd.in/eE7BFYRF https://bit.ly/3JJ2pLL
