The Melan Hotel Group, LLC (MHG) is a professional hospitality management advisory group providing value added solutions to hotel owners. MHG combines the services of a hotel management company, asset manager, and owner’s “rep” into one and works on a retainer basis. Our innovative, strategic approach aligns those owners with a hands-on, results driven management model that allows them to pick and choose from a wide array of services and proven methodologies. This allows them to lower their short and long term operational costs while returning greater return on their investment. Executive Team Robert F. “Rob” McCarthy CEO/Founder A veteran of over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Rob has a diverse background as Managing Director, Regional VP and General Manager of both domestic and international hotels. Currently Rob serves on the board of one of the largest mutual savings banks in the country, is the Chairman of the UMass Isenberg Hotel School, and is a current Director for the NH Lodging & Restaurant Association Tim Hogan Managing Director Accomplished hospitality professional with over 30 years of experience with Hilton, IHG, Sheraton and Crowne Plaza hotel’s as General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing. During Tim’s tenure in the business he has been recognized as an Innkeeper of the Year by NH Lodging & Restaurant Association, Excellence in Consumer Services and Business Person of the Year. Tim is also involved with Rotary for over 25 years as well as a Co-Founder of the Nashua Education Foundation.

    Kicking around Williamsburg in Brooklyn the last couple of days, had a most enjoyable stay at The Pod Hotel. The entire hotel was SPOTLESS (Lonny Wolfe would be proud), staff was friendly, professional, and knwledgeable. The room, although TINY (maybe 120 ft'), had everything one needs for an enjoyable stay. Mattress superb, creative storage, shower / tub area, and a most positive vibe. As we have all learned, you only achieve this kind of excellence when you have an excellent General Manager. Hats off to The Pod Brooklyn's GM, Effie Tsavalias, a true hospitality professional. She leads by example and has built a most admirable team. The Pod Brooklyn is a welcome stop in the dynamic Williamsburg neighborhood. Give it a try the next time you're in Brooklyn.
