What is PLATECOIL®? Die-formed fluid passages are pressed into sheets of metal with welds placed into the channels to direct heating and cooling fluids to all surface areas of the heat exchanger. What is a Pillow Plate? Two sheets of metal are held together with nugget welds and is then inflated to create passages for the fluid to move through. These passages are smaller in height and can be inconsistent.
