#SCI2024 – XXVIII National Congress (Conference & Exhibition) will take place in Milan, Italy, next month! This year's theme, "Chemistry Elements of Future," will unite top chemists from around the globe to explore chemistry's vital role in tackling sustainable development challenges: circular economy, environmental preservation, climate change, energy solutions, health, and the future economy and society. We're excited to announce that our colleagues from CNR-ITM and the University of Calabria will present MEASURED Project, featuring the abstract “New generation of PVDF membranes preparation using γ-Valerolactone (GVL) as a green solvent for Membrane Distillation.” Discover how they are developing PVDF membranes with GVL, a renewable green solvent, offering a sustainable and economically competitive alternative to harmful solvents like NMP, DMA, and DMF. These innovative membranes exhibit excellent performance in Membrane Distillation (MD), with high porosity and stability, matching commercial membrane performance. 📢 Last week, H2LAB presented two presentations in the framework of 16th International conference on catalysis in membrane reactor which took place in San Sebastian, Spain. Simon Richard gave a talk on modelling and optimization of a Power to Ammonia process using catalytic membrane reactor. The second presentation from Mathilde Jégoux was about Gas separation pilot that will be build and demonstrate in the framework of MEASURED Project. MEASURED Project made a resounding impact at the 16th International Conference on Catalysis in Membrane Reactors, an event organized by TECNALIA Research & Innovation to foster innovation in the realm of catalytic membrane systems. On October 18th, the #ICCMR16 conference unfolded a remarkable program, featuring the MEASURED Project consortium in the spotlight, under the session "#European #research #project 2". Our presentations included: - Membrane Scale-up for Chemical Industries, by Luca Di Felice, Eindhoven University of Technology. - Membrane Scale-Up for Gas Separation, by Mathilde Jégoux, ENGIE Lab CRIGEN. - Polishing CH4 from a Mixture Product of CO2 Methanation, by Margot Anabell Llosa Tanco, TECNALIA Research & Innovation. We seized this unique opportunity to showcase our project ,to brilliant minds from academia and industry specializing in membranes, catalysis, and process engineering.
