"McCullough celebrates 25 years with talk on design philosophy" Thanks to The Daily Transcript for covering our recent 25th anniversary celebration and for featuring David McCullough, ASLA, PLA's philosophy of "Perfectly Imperfect" design. Here's a brief excerpt from the article by Thor Biberman: "McCullough hosted the event in Ruocco's 'perfectly imperfect' redesigned building with glassed-in spaces overlooking staircases and split-level decks. 'The building reflects Ruocco's focus on harmonizing the built environment with the outdoors,' David McCullough stated. McCullough said his move to the Design Center within the past couple of years has allowed the firm to grow and 'be part of an effort to honor Ruocco's legacy by transforming the building into an epicenter of design-based organizations.'" Introducing a new video as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations! Explore McCullough's 25-year legacy of designing outdoor environments throughout California and beyond. For nearly three decades, we've embraced the philosophy of "Perfectly Imperfect," recognizing that nature's beauty lies in its imperfections. This approach infuses soul into our projects, creating places for our community. Our firm prides itself on a strong foundation, fostering a collaborative environment where the majority of our team are women, encouraging leadership and innovation. Together, we design serene, sustainable spaces that connect people to nature and each other. McCullough has evolved from landscape architecture to encompass planning and urban design, while striving for sustainability. Looking ahead, our goal is to build thriving communities and neighborhoods that will flourish for the next 50-100 years. McCullough will continue to shape the future of outdoor spaces with grit, soul and style. Videography by Breadtruck Films. Jeff Durkin / assoc. AIA #anniversary #video #25years #design #environment
