🌞✨ What an incredible 3-week journey it has been at the #MaximoCostaRica Summer Camp! 🌴🏕️ Over three weeks, three dynamic groups of teens from around the globe came together in Manuel Antonio-Quepos and San Jose for an unforgettable experience. 🇨🇷 They caught their first waves and mastered the art of surfing, 🏄♀️ dived into a new world with an introduction to scuba diving 🤿, and some honed their language skills with our experienced Native Spanish Teachers 💯. Others participated in service learning activities, beautifying local public schools and connecting with local youth💚. Everyone embarked on exciting travel adventures, discovering the breathtaking nature Costa Rica is famous for. 🦥 From thrilling outdoor adventures to meaningful community engagement, this summer was about growth, fun, and making memories that will last a lifetime. VOLUNTEER ABROAD: Meet Maxwell, a true #MaximoPeru legend. 💥 Starting solo in 2018, he came to Cusco to volunteer for the first time with us, helping in a school renovation. 👷🇵🇪 His passion for giving back and traveling didn't stop there—in 2019, he ventured to #MaximoCostaRica to aid the sea turtle conservation program 🐢. This year, Max returned to Cusco, bringing two of his best buds, Clayton and Hunter, to volunteer at our construction program, building a new community center. 🏫 ❤️ Thank you for all your help, Max! EXPERIENCES ABROAD: "I loved the course! I've taught ESL before but I never had the certification. The course was valuable, I learned some new techniques and had plenty of opportunity to practice with real students, in a 'safe' and friendly environment. The instructor was excellent and obviously a very good ESL teacher himself. He taught the entire course using the ESL techniques that we would be using, and made it fun and enjoyable at the same time. I looked forward to going to class every day! 🤩👩🏫 I live in Costa Rica already so I was at home, but for people who travel here to take the TEFL - you won't regret it. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with plenty to see and do outside of the classroom (the orientation day included good tips and info about Costa Rica). As an ESL teacher, I can't rate the course highly enough. It was brilliantly taught and extremely useful.
