Another #MattelProud Play it Forward Volunteer Week in the record books! There’s nothing more meaningful and energizing that bringing our values to life by giving back to the communities where we live, work, and play. From our El Segundo HQ where we hosted over 600 deserving kids alongside nonprofit partners and state, county and city officials, to all the Mattel volunteers across more than 30 offices worldwide who all Played it Forward this week: we thank you. Kudos to Nancy Molenda and Brittany Cruickshank from Mattel Philanthropy, and our devoted Mattel Global Philanthropic Alliance for leading this fourth annual week of volunteerism and for what you do every day to bring purposeful play to children everywhere. #PlayitForward: Mattel EMEA, Mattel Latin America, Mattel Canada, Mattel Asia Pacific, Mattel Australia & New Zealand, Mattel Canada, Fisher-Price, Inc., MEGA Brands, American Girl | Save the Children US, Dr. Jen Welter, Once Upon a Farm, Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Public Library, ESMoA, CrayonCollection, LA’s BEST, Boys & Girls Club of Carson, Girls Inc. of Los Angeles, Section Z, City of El Segundo

Game nights just got more accessible! As part of our commitment to inclusive play experiences, by the end of 2024, 80% of our Mattel Games global portfolio will be colorblind accessible, including fan-favorites like UNO, Phase 10, and Blokus. Our Games team consulted experts and individuals with colorblindness, including some of our very own Mattel designers, to develop custom solutions, such as patterns and symbols. Our mobile games will also feature colorblind identification. “At Mattel, we are proud that our portfolio of games continues to bring people together – transcending languages and cultures – and this initiative to offer more colorblind accessible games is another proof point on our inclusivity journey.” —Ray Adler, VP and Global Head of Games at Mattel More: https://lnkd.in/ghasiCRK #Mattel #Games

"The Barbie movie became a global phenomenon and a proofpoint for Ynon Kreiz’s strategy to transform Mattel from a toy manufacturing company into an IP-powerhouse.
