Today, Township officials welcomed WAWA to Deerfield Township. A large crowd gathered at 5308 Fields Ertel Road for the groundbreaking of the company's Warren County store, its first in Ohio. Scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025, the Deerfield store will employ 40 people. WAWA will invest $7.5 million on this important economic development project, that contributes much to our effort to convert underperforming properties into true community assets. In addition to its reputation for great food and quality customer service, the popular retailer is also recognized as a first class corporate citizen. Indeed, WAWA officials presented a check for $10,000 to the Freestore Food Bank at today's event with a promise to do even more for non-profits in our region in the future.
