Located between bustling Herald Square and trendy NoMad in Midtown Manhattan, the magnificently maintained Beaux-Arts building is a designated New York City landmark. The hotel features 504 guestrooms and suites with nearly 7,500 square feet of event space. The Art Deco design seamlessly integrates the hotel’s public areas into the guest rooms, and the lobby welcomes guests with grandiose velvet blue and gold furnishings. Martinique New York on Broadway will unveil several new, inventive food and beverage venues from the celebrated hospitality team of “Top Chef Master” alumni Franklin Becker and restauranters Stephen Loffredo and Tora Matsuoka. The Broadway location boasts an exciting, American steakhouse while the 33rd Street side of the hotel will debut an elevated cocktail lounge harkening back to the era of great New York hotel bars featuring a small plates menu. For guests on the move and locals alike, a bespoke coffee kiosk experience featuring house-made pastries, baked goods, and deftly crafted to-go light fare is available on the lobby level. A new, innovative donut concept is set to premiere also on the lobby level this summer. Once open, all of these new venues will welcome guests to an elevated gastronomic experience in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The property has been a member of Historic Hotels of America since 2010, recently winning the Best City Center Hotel in 2023. This fantastic historic destination has stood as a cherished local landmark in Midtown for well over a century, having hosted countless guests since its grand debut in the late 1890s.

His resume includes Executive Chef of Capitale, Brasserie, the Starr Restaurant Group, and Catch Group. As Culinary Director for all Aurify brands, he served as a founding partner of the fast-casual The Little Beet and its full-service restaurant The Little Beet Table and Hungryroot, providing his culinary inspiration to the vegan, gluten-free home delivery service. Becker has garnered numerous accolades, including being named a Rising Star by StarChefs.com in 2006 and winner of The Burger Bash at the New York City Wine & Food Festival in 2011. Throughout his career, Becker has received glowing reviews from such acclaimed critics as Gael Greene of New York Magazine, William Grimes of The New York Times, who wrote that Becker has “a talent for delivering big, punchy flavors,” and while Becker was at Capitale in 2003, Esquire’s John Mariani named it “Best New Restaurant in America.” Becker is a regular on television, too, and has appeared on shows such as Top Chef Masters, Iron Chef America, The Today Show, Dr. Oz, and more.
