Chaplain Dale Emery received his 15-year coin from his Director of Operations Chris Carter and his former Exec Director of Operations Greg Boisture. Dale currently serves in two Trilogy locations as well as Gordon Food Service in Michigan. After serving as a worship paster and then a Marketplace Chaplain, Dale fell in love with the whole idea of chaplaincy and went back to school and pursued his Hospital Chaplain credentials. Chaplains John Salas and Rickey Ezell are backbones of our chaplain care in Dallas having served and ministered to hundreds of employees in dozens of companies over the years. (Executive Director of Operations John Gibson presented coins to John and Rickey for 20 and 15 years of chaplain service respectively.) Chaplain John Salas served over a decade in Mexico City as a missionary and then a chaplain leader for Marketplace Chaplains. Currently, he and his wife Linda are the Spanish pastors at Church in the City in Rowlett, Texas. Chaplain Rickey Ezell recently retired from the Dallas Police Department after 22 years of distinguished service. He enjoys mentoring young males at his local church providing them principles for godly living. Today, Philip Geldenhuys, the leader and originator of workplace chaplaincy in South Africa, stopped by the National Care Center to visit with MChap President & CEO Jason Brown. The team of chaplains there are currently serving seven companies in the Cape Town area, providing invaluable support and care to employees. They modeled their approach to workplace chaplaincy after our Marketplace Chaplains approach. As South Africans face increasing mental health challenges, Philip shared inspiring stories of how the efforts of workplace chaplains are making a real difference in the lives of many. Our field leaders have the new chaplain longevity coins in their hands now! Long-time chaplain Amanda Ward is receiving her 10-year coin from Chaplain Coach Calvin Hubbard in Shreveport, Louisiana. Chaplain Amanda serves several nursing and rehabilitation facilities, Ivey's Building Materials, Inferno Manufacturing Group, DS Bus Lines, and Yellowhammer Salon Group offering to pray for employees, speaking words of encouragement, hearing their concerns of suicidal family members, ailing parents, grief and loss, medical issues, work stressors, financial struggles, and more. Over the years, she has impacted hundreds of employees with her prayers, wisdom, care, and concern.
