When 15-year-old Andreas told us that his wish was to have a gaming computer, our volunteers at @Make-A-Wish Greece knew they had to go above and beyond to create an unforgettable day. Andreas lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and loves playing video games, and dreams of becoming a computer programmer in the future. When he saw his brand new computer his face lit up and he couldn’t stop saying “Man, I can’t believe it!”. A heartwarming story comes from our global collaboration with the Make-A-Wish International, dedicated to bringing joy to children with critical illnesses worldwide. Porsche Argentina recently participated in making 8-year-old Maitena's dream come true. Her wish was to see and touch snow for the first time. Maitena and her family enjoyed a magical six-day trip to San Martín de los Andes, Argentina, where they experienced snow and created memories together. Porsche has set a goal to fulfill 356 wishes in over 20 countries by 2025, in honor of the 75th-year celebration. Fundación Make-A-Wish Argentina has granted over 7,000 children's dreams since 2002. We are proud to be part of this meaningful initiative that brings hope and happiness to these courageous children. 8-year-old soccer fan Younès, wished to meet his idol, Kylian Mbappé. Younès has been through a difficult treatment journey for his illness. With his dad and his brother, he attended the Paris Saint Germain v. Montpellier match, and was able to meet Mbappé afterwards. When they arrived at the stadium in Montpellier, they received PSG jerseys flocked with Mbappé’s name and player number which they proudly wore during the match. At the end, Younès was taken to the locker room to meet all the players as they left. A great moment of excitement after all those weeks of waiting. Every single player took the time to take a photo with him and sign his jersey. The last player to come out was Kylian Mbappé and Younès was ecstatic! Younès is thrilled that his wish had come true, and that he was able to share this moment with his family. This meeting with Kylian Mbappé enabled him to escape from his difficult daily life facing critical illness and to realize that anything is possible. What an incredible Grand Prix Ball event yesterday in support of Make-A-Wish International! It was a beautiful evening celebrating the power of wishes for children with critical illnesses and the world of racing and we would like to thank GPM & Jonny Dodge for organising such a wonderful evening and for choosing to support Make-A-Wish as part of it. We would also like to thank the amazing Pole Position Reports Inga Stracke & Kamran Dehdashti for making it all possible, David Croft for being an incredible MC throughout the night, as well as Otmar Szafnauer Ruth Buscombe Marc Priestley Paul Stoddart and Eddie Jordan for some very inspiring talks and for their support to Make-A-Wish. We are also hugely grateful to wish child Malitochi, his father Kenneth and his brother for joining us during the evening and for sharing on stage the story of their wish journey!
