Discovery gave us at M7 Innovations to fuel excitement and drive tune-in to the Stanley Cup Playoffs on TNT. We knew we had to hit the ice hard and fast with an all-star squad if we wanted to ‘light the lamp.’ (I speak hockey now) We put together a multifaceted, immersive campaign to catalyze excitement and let fans… ⚡️️Teleport through a TNT portal onto center ice in the middle of the action 🎨 (Virtually) paint their faces and rep their team on the Jumbotron 🧔♂️Grow a hyper-realistic playoff beard in seconds with NHL easter eggs This 60 second sizzle reel from Diagonal Media // DGNL shows the fun, hard-hitting* results from this campaign with a full stat sheet. Most importantly, it was the ultimate team effort in the tightest of timelines - flawless execution with no trips to the penalty box. Our squad included....     We built a video game within #Snapchat! In a fantastic collaboration between M7 Innovations, QReal, Snap Inc. and #Killabears, we pushed the limits of what's [technically] possible when combining #AugmentedReality, #SocialMedia and #Entertainment. A few highlights: 👾 Full 360° enemy attack patterns via AR portals with an ‘endless spawner’ mechanic so gameplay (and your heart rate) increases as you progress. 🔫 In-Lens Digital Goods (ILDG) system to purchase upgradable weapons that bring damage multipliers, new VFX effects and novel weapon styles. 🏆 Leaderboard with top scores to see where you stand among the greats.     In my opinion, this is the future of spatial shopping. I’ve seen many Apple Vision Pro demos on LinkedIn showcasing basic 3D models on a website, allowing users to sit back and manipulate these objects like they're in Minority Report. It’s very cool and novel when you do it for the first few times, but the marketing side of my mind says - is that really going to move the needle in sales? 👀These are shiny ‘awareness’ tactics disguising themselves as “consideration’ that will push consumers down the purchasing funnel. But, consideration is actually a ‘lean in’ moment, not a passive pinch-and-turn. Enter this demo we’ve been building alongside QReal - the 3D spatial specialists. We turn 3D model viewing into an active experience - get up, walk around, see how the item (RIMOWA backpack) looks in its native size - in contextual environments, from every angle - even small details like how the straps fall over your shoulders. Our next iteration will focus on animations, unzipping, informational overlays - the goal is to mirror the experience of having the actual product right in front of you - letting you test, evaluate, and make a fully informed decision. The end goal would increase demand while decreasing returns.
