The University of Lynchburg’s PA Medicine program is part of the College of Medical Science. The PA program’s advanced curriculum offers students a unique opportunity to practice medicine and become leaders in health care. Highlights include anatomy lab featuring flat 21 cadaver stations, low student-faculty ratio, advanced clinical procedures emphasis, modular organ based format, extensive clinical rotation exposure, custom-designed facilities in a 26,000 square-foot building featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Health Science Summer Scholars ended their week back with PA Medicine last week! Fractures, orthopedic splinting, ultrasound, punch biopsy, eye foreign body removal, and participating in their very own SIM were the highlights of the day. Hope to see each scholar next year either back in the scholar program or enrolled at University of Lynchburg!

Health Science Summer Scholars at the University of Lynchburg spent time with our PA students today! 24 high school students were able to learn how to place an IV, use virtual reality to see a patient, practice their surgery skills on laparoscopic trainers, and many other great things! We are excited to share our skills and passion for healthcare with future leaders in health sciences.

Last week the Class of 2025 transitioned to their clinical year and spent their first week becoming ACLS/PALS/BLS certified! Thank you to the First Response Training Group. A great & unique experience learning how to run codes, work as a team, and be providers in high stress situations.
