On June 28, a U.S. Supreme Court ruling granted cities more power to police sleeping in public spaces, the California Department of Housing and Community Development announced San Francisco was the first city in the state to miss its 2023 housing production goals. Exciting update on Rick Judd Commons along with a few snapshots from last week’s site visit! Starting Monday, July 15 at 9AM (PST), rental applications for this new 100% affordable housing community in Concord, CA will be open until Monday, July 29 at 5PM (PST). Located less than ¼ mile from the Concord BART station, Rick Judd Commons is a Transit Oriented Development designed to meet Concord's growing affordable housing needs. This five-story building will provide 62 units for veterans, seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities, including those transitioning out of homelessness. The building features one- to three-bedroom apartments, with amenities such as a central laundry room, community room, exterior courtyard, and on-site property management and supportive services. We expect construction to be completed by November 2024.
