To quote her nomination, “One of our patients who is nonverbal wanted to have swabs at the bedside with ice water. Katherine sat at the side of his bed talking to him throughout the night since he couldn’t sleep, and she assisted him in using swabs and made sure he was comfortable.” This month, in a surprise celebration, our Chief Nursing Executive, Cece Lynch, presented Katherine with her award.
