This 255-bed facility, staffed by over 200 physicians and 2,000 employees, offers a wide range of advanced services and has been recognized for its commitment to outstanding clinical outcomes. Today, we proudly celebrate the 42nd anniversary of our Lori's Gifts Store #2 at Medical City Plano! Opening its doors on August 6, 1982, this store is the oldest in our company and has been a cornerstone of our journey ever since. Over the past four decades, our team at Medical City Plano has consistently provided exceptional service, ensuring that hospital staff, patients, and visitors have access to a diverse selection of thoughtful gifts and essential items while providing joy and support to those who need it most. This location received a fresh remodel last year, enhancing the shopping experience and continuing our commitment to excellence. A special shoutout to Jennifer Dowd, District Manager overseeing Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio. Jennifer ensures that all her stores, including this location, are set up for success, driving top results and fostering a culture of excellence and dedication. Last week, we held a ribbon cutting ceremony for our newest location, Store #661 at The University of Louisville Health network’s Mary & Elizabeth Hospital! This celebration was a huge success, and the excitement is still in the air. Lori’s District Manager, Tim Murphy, shared his enthusiasm: “Opening the U of L Mary & Elizabeth location is incredibly exciting. The entire hospital administration, staff, and visitors are delighted with the assortment and service from our store team. On July 16, we held our grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony at Store #645 at The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont! This location originally opened on July 9 and has seen a steady stream of medical staff, patients, and visitors flowing through its doors since day one. Louise T. Barrow, Director of Patient and Family Experience, said, "The choice in Lori’s Gifts as our gift shop vendor feels right for our staff and community. Lori’s presence is creating a sense of community, and everyone’s day is a bit brighter. It has been really fun to hear the buzz and excitement around the return of the gift shop and seeing how happy everyone is with the variety of items they have to offer." A second new store joined our growing family this week and opened its doors! Store #661 at the University of Louisville, Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, opened its doors on Tuesday! This beautiful new store fits in perfectly with the prestigious University of Louisville, Mary & Elizabeth campus. Spreading joy and support to those who need it most is at the core of everything we do, and this new store is doing just that! Tim Murphy, District Manager, facilitated this store opening alongside Support Center partners to ensure this store kicked off to its fullest potential!
