Without hesitation Paige Buggy is quick to recommend a Modern Apprenticeship in Social Service and Health Care. That is the route she took after leaving the Anderson High School in Lerwick, and seven years later she has no regrets. “I would highly recommend it [a social care apprenticeship] to anyone, even if it’s not something they have thought of before. There are so many aspects to social care, you can work with the elderly, people with learning disabilities, dementia, mental health there is not just one aspect to it. Golfers will love the breathtaking views at the Shetland Golf Club in Dale, just north of Lerwick. Enjoy the 18-hole course without getting too distracted by the stunning vistas of Lerwick Harbour and the surrounding hills. For a more relaxed game, try the pitch and putt course at The Knab, overlooking the south mouth of Lerwick Harbour. There's also the UK's most northern course on Whalsay. This par-71 course is bordered by the sea and offers amazing scenery. You can even go further north to Burrafirth in Unst for a round among the sand dunes and links. Tingwall Valley's Asta Golf Club, near Scalloway, is a popular nine-hole course set in a beautiful valley next to the Loch of Asta, often accompanied by swans and wildfowl. 📸 Photo: Shetland Golf Club Head to our blog for more ways to enjoy the best of Shetland this summer: https://lnkd.in/d5axKc2n #LiveWorkShetland #Shetland #Golf
