We were honored to participate in the Annual Health Fair organized by The Hindu Temple Society of North America, Sri Maha Vallabha Ganapati Devasthanam. We express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Uma Mysorekar, the President of the temple, for graciously supporting our mission to honor, change, and save lives. It was indeed a great day informing members of the temple about the importance of organ donation and presenting the valuable work of LiveOnNY. Together, we're making a difference in our community! As Dr. Mysorekar shares, “If Hinduism is a way of life, we can give a portion of ourselves to others. When we give charity by way of our bodies, it is an act that serves not the individual, but humanity at large.” #organdonation #TheHinduTempleSocietyofNorthAmerica #communityawareness #LiveOnNY

Today, we remember Robert Bush, a remarkable 17-year-old from Long Island, who became a hero a year ago. Robert tragically lost his life but gave the ultimate gift of life to others. Thanks to his generosity, three individuals in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts received life-saving kidney and liver transplants. 🕊️ "Robert was more than a donor; he was a loving brother, son, loyal friend, dedicated teammate, and cherished community member in Selden. Today, #LiveOnNY honors his memory and the precious gifts he gave. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and all who loved him. Your strength inspires us every day." - Leonard Achan, RN, MA, ANP President and CEO, LiveOnNY #RememberingRobert #DonorHero #OrganDonation

LiveOnNY hosted an exciting Inaugural First Pitch Competition! Staff members competed to throw out the first pitch at a Brooklyn Cyclones baseball game. This event, held in partnership with the Cyclones, helped raise awareness and educate our community about organ and tissue donation. The competition fostered a sense of connection and celebration within the LiveOnNY and the Greater NYC Community who saw our messaging at the game. Congratulations on our first pitch winner, LiveOnNY Transplant Coordinator Pablo Santiago. Pablo represented LiveOnNY on the mound, supporting our mission of honoring, changing, and saving lives. #LiveOnNY #FirstPitch #BrooklynCyclones #OrganDonation #TissueDonation #CommunityEvent #NYCEvents #LifesavingMission Chun Wei Wang Jon Sidell John T.
