Did you know that clouds cover about 65% of Earth's surface, often obscuring valuable data collected by Earth Observation satellites? 🛰️ Typically, 30% to 40% of downlinked satellite images are rendered useless and discarded due to excessive cloud cover, resulting in significant financial losses. At Little Place Labs, we're revolutionizing satellite operations with our onboard cloud masking capabilities. Our product suite, “Orbitfy Prep” suite leverages edge computing capabilities to process raw data and identify cloud-covered images directly in orbit. This means only useful images are downlinked significantly reducing unnecessary data downlink and cutting downlink costs by up to 40%, while also enabling rapid insights. Orbitfy Prep is designed to work with hyperspectral, multispectral & optical RGB imagery, agnostic of sensor bands, resolutions, and wavelengths, to support a variety of sensors and types of data. Want to optimize your satellite operations and save costs? Read our latest blog and reach out to discover how Orbitfy Prep can revolutionize your satellite operations Check here : https://lnkd.in/djWkc-rV #littleplacelabs #edgecomputing #cloudmasking #earthobservation #satelliteoperators #spacetech
