    CAN'T WAIT for the July 4th party when everyone knows what a "blended workforce" is. 🎆 When do you think it'll be? We love to spend the 4th up on Camano Island, just north of Seattle, WA. I've got a neighbor at the beach, Howard. And this is our conversation every. time. I see him... 🔸 Howard: Now, Brea, tell me again what Lions & Tigers does. I still don't get it. 🔹 Me: Of course. L&T partners with leaders to build inclusive, high-performing #blended teams that leverage the nearly 50% of the workforce that need and want flexible work. We specifically solve business gaps in marketing, operations, and change management. 🔸 Howard: 🤔 🔹 Me: Okay, think of us as a way to hire all of the non-employees in an organization. Think of parental leave back-fill scenarios. Or for a sprint project when it doesn't make sense to hire a full-time employee. Or when you need a specialist but just for a fraction of time. It's a new way for folks to work that's more flexible than traditional models. 🔸 Howard: I was a state patrol officer in the 70s and I've never heard of anything like this.... can I have a job? 🔹 Me: 😎 I hope - soon enough - I walk into one of these parties and everyone, even Howard, knows what a "blended team" is because the strategy is so ubiquitous and common that we'd work in various ways throughout our lifetime and business cycles. (And BTW, Washington State just passed flex work policy for police officers thanks to the leadership of Sue Rahr - so change is a'comin, Howard!)

    What if we could move through work arrangements like college classes? (I’ve often described Lions & Tigers like this to folks because we build fractional work, job shares, and we welcome both employees and independent contractors all under one community.) This is what I’d imagine: 👷♂️ You could pick up 3 credits of a specific type of work, 😎 Snag an interesting  summer internship, 🌍 Study abroad, 👩🏫 Get to know industry thought leaders from the front row, 🍂 And I think most interestingly, we could change our minds about what we needed each term. And what a tremendous opportunity for our business leaders! I’d swoon over a professional with: 👷♂️ A sprint project in an adjacent work function, 😎 A creative deliverable, 🌍 Experience overseas with a global market, and 👩🏫 Access to mentors and fractional leaders that move our business forward. 🍂 And I think most interestingly, we could change our team members when we needed without laying folks off. IDK folks, can’t we embrace a bit more fluidity and joy in our work styles? Nearly 50% of Americans are working independently, outside of traditional 9-to-5, in-office models and I’m here for all the benefits of this evolution!
