Industrial Bank of Korea and KB Investment joined as new investors, with follow-on investments from Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Stick Ventures. The company will use the funding to enter the domestic and overseas markets for its cardiovascular interventional robot. LN Robotics’ flagship product is the AVIAR system, Korea's first cardiovascular intervention assist robot system. The initial focus of the AVIAR system is PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) to treat cardiovascular diseases, which are on of the top causes of death worldwide. Founder/CEO of LSI

Last week, I spoke to our company about the “moments” that have defined LSI. Today, I’m thrilled to share the next one — Henry Peck has taken on the role of Chief Business Officer at LSI, as we continue the global expansion of our events, market intelligence, media and *more (see footnote). From the day I met Henry at LSI USA ‘21 as an innovator raising capital, I knew he was someone I wanted on our team. Fast-forward, and through his first two years at LSI, his impact has been enormous — From architecting our insights and content programs, to spearheading our brand evolution, working hand-in-hand with leaders in the innovation and investment ecosystem to raise the bar for our events, and building the internal and external infrastructure for LSI’s expansion into new markets and geographies, Henry and his team’s fingerprints can be seen on all areas of our business. Of the “moments” I and LSI have lived to tell the tale of, from surviving the 2008 financial crisis so close to our inception to re-opening our doors in the wake of COVID in 2021, this is perhaps our most significant yet… We’re bringing our industry-leading Emerging Medtech Summit to APAC, the fastest growing region in Medtech (per our in-house analysts). We’re investing in our research, data, and product capabilities to support event more healthcare enterprises in making smarter decisions. We’re launching new offerings to better serve our global community of innovators, investors, strategics, professional service providers and more. I’m proud of the moments we’ve experienced over the past two decades, and am more excited than ever about the next two, with Henry’s new role playing a crucial part in that. Please join me in congratulating Henry, our new CBO. *This is just the beginning of more exciting work we'll be sharing about in the coming months, so stay tuned. Henry and I, along with our team, can't wait to share more behind-the-scenes work we've been doing. All aimed at supporting and adding even more value to this industry and community we are committed to.

Hot off the press! The latest edition of The Memo, featuring Andrew Cameron, Founder & CEO of FeelTect is out now. 🗞 Here’s a preview of this week’s edition of our weekly newsletter, The Memo: The Irish startup, led by Founder & CEO Andrew Cameron, is pioneering a new era in compression therapy for venous leg ulcers, aiming to improve patient outcomes and alleviate the burden on healthcare systems. The Current Landscape Venous leg ulcers continue to be a growing problem, particularly in aging populations and among individuals with comorbidities such as obesity. "In the last five years, the number of venous leg ulcers in the UK has doubled, and the healing rate has decreased by 20%," Cameron points out. This surge in cases is straining healthcare systems already burdened by limited resources and a shortage of trained nurses. Compression therapy has long been the standard of care for venous leg ulcers, a condition resulting from the breakdown of valves in the leg veins. This therapy, which dates back over 500 years, helps restore blood flow and heal wounds. However, its application remains fraught with challenges. "Compression is applied totally blind. There's a 90% failure rate to achieve targeted pressure in clinical practice. Too tight is dangerous, too loose is ineffective," Cameron explains. Nurses and caregivers often apply compression with little or no guidance leading to a lack of pressure measurement during application. "Only about 2% of patients are seen by trained tissue viability nurses," says Cameron. "Even if the pressure is applied correctly, it can lose up to 50% of its effectiveness within the first three days due to the reduction in swelling." This variability can lead to prolonged healing times and frequent recurrence of ulcers. Continue Reading: https://lnkd.in/grM6bnGg
