Humble brag alert! Brenda Weiler, our esteemed chief administrative officer, and chief of staff was selected as one of Portland Business Journal’s top 40 under 40 executives, chosen from a competitive pool of over 200 nominees. This is a prestigious honor within the Portland business community, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her receive this well-deserved recognition. Brenda joined LFN in February 2008 as an administrative assistant, where she initially managed the membership and administrative departments and provided crucial support to the CEO. Over the past sixteen years, she has advanced through various roles including executive administrative assistant, senior executive administrative assistant, and now serves in her current dual capacity. Brenda’s impact on LFN has been profound—her intellect, drive, kindness, and mentorship are evident in every aspect of our organization. Congratulations, Brenda. We are fortunate to have your leadership helping to drive our organization’s success. LFN wouldn’t be where it is today without your invaluable contributions. https://lnkd.in/gq8AnJ8m

The face of a caregiver. Dog tired after a late night that extended into early morning. Yet, she still smiles. Because caring for those in need provides a level of satisfaction that outweighs the fatigue. She knows she has played a role in someone’s survival. And there’s no greater energizer than that. … #lifeflightnetwork #therewhenyouneedus #savinglives #caregivers #lifeflight #airambulance #ems #emergencymedicine

Important and exciting work going on at the Life Flight Network Foundation. We need your help to fund a critical upgrade to our flight simulator. Check out this post from our foundation for more info.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to fund a critical $2.1M upgrade to our flight simulator. At Life Flight Network, training, learning, and preparation are the pillars of safe operations. One of the state-of-the-art tools we use to train our pilots is the Bell 407 GXi flight simulator, built by FRASCA. This highly technical equipment allows our pilots to practice flying in varying weather conditions, terrain, and emergency scenarios, enhancing our ability to provide leading-edge care to the communities we serve. While our current technology has greatly increased operational safety, associated training hours do not count toward FAA training requirements. This means we must take aircraft out of service to complete training flights, reducing the availability of these assets for lifesaving transports. To improve efficiencies, reduce out-of-service time for our aircraft, and improve the quality of our pilot training even further, we are seeking to purchase an upgrade for our simulator that would allow training hours to count toward FAA requirements. But we need your help to make it happen. A donation to our Virtual Skies campaign is an incredible way to make a meaningful impact in your community. It's also tax deductible and an investment in Life Flight Network’s mission of saving lives. We appreciate the generous support from individuals like you who feel compelled to contribute, regardless of the donation amount. Your decision to support our organization is truly valued and makes a difference in the communities we serve. Head to lifeflight.org/foundation, scroll down, and select 'Donate Now' or 'Learn More'. #lifeflightnetwork #lifeflightnetworkfoundation #virtualskies #therewhenyouneedus #fundraising #communitysupport #donationsneeded #donations #donatetoday #donatenow

--SURVIVAL STORY-- It was a sunny day in June and Mike was out enjoying a motorcycle ride through Linn County, Oregon. Having been away for a couple of days, his wife and kids returned home from their travels to find his bike gone. They thought nothing of it, knowing sunny days in Oregon are limited and Mike loved being on his motorcycle. A short time later, Valerie received a text message that Mike had been in an accident. He'd been struck by another vehicle and his condition was serious. Mike’s riding partners Don Soto, Rebecca Zimmick, and Lauren Conser jumped into action. Lauren left to find cell service and call 911. Sweet Home Fire Department arrived at the scene and upon assessing his injuries, made the call to activate Life Flight Network. Our crew arrived to find Mike unconscious and requiring roadside intubation due to a collapsed lung. He was stabilized and transported to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon for further evaluation and treatment. “I knew he was in good hands. As an emergency department employee, I know that Life Flight Network’s crews are the best-trained clinical care personnel in Oregon, says Valerie “I will always be thankful to them for keeping my husband alive.” Mike doesn’t remember anything from the day of the accident or the week leading up to it but six months later, had the opportunity to connect with the flight crew that saved him. “I was really impressed with their professionalism and kindness. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them.” #lifeflightnetwork #therewhenyouneedus #survivalstory #savinglives #airmedical #airambulance #criticalcare #ems #emergencymedicine #healthcare
