The partnerships and relationships you've created across industries, politics and city lines are critical to our region's progress. Most of all, thank you for creating us, Leadership Eastside! If you admire Betty and her work as much as we do, please consider donating to the new Langton Spieth Scholarship Fund: https://lnkd.in/gZsiSc9w

Huge congratulations to LE'18 alum Tracy Myers! King County Play Equity Coalition is in great hands! Thanks for your work to make our community better and more accessible to all!
We are THRILLED to announce our new KCPEC Executive Director, Tracy Myers !!! Tracy is a mother, sister, friend, and story seeker. Through her work in non-profits, government, and education, she spent 18 years addressing the social ills of America serving communities experiencing homelessness, poverty, abuse, mental illness, and chemical dependency. As she realized more efforts were needed to prevent these social injustices, she turned to the educational system to work with emerging young leaders. Her work in school districts includes leading transformative racial equity workshops for adults and youth, developing innovative programming to increase academic participation for students experiencing homelessness, and creating a regional network of support for students in foster care. A member of the Osage Tribe, born and raised in Hawaii, Tracy is excited to work alongside of all of us to carry the Coalition’s shared mission, vision, and values in pursuit of play equity, and we are equally as excited to welcome her to join us. Please welcome our new Executive Director, Tracy Myers!

Thank you Amazon for this incredible investment in the Puget Sound region and beyond! We see first-hand the incredible impact Amazon is having in our region through our Board Chair Keri Pravitz’s community outreach work. We are grateful for your dedication to Puget Sound communities.
🆕 We created a $3.6 billion+ Housing Equity Fund to build affordable housing in our three hometown communities: Puget Sound (Seattle), Arlington (DC), and Nashville. So far, the Housing Equity Fund has created and preserved over 21,000 affordable homes, helping more than 46,000 residents. We did this with a commitment of $2.2 billion and delivered them in three years—two years early! Today, we’re expanding our commitment with an extra $1.4 billion in funding for 14,000 more homes in these communities. All up, that brings our total investment to more than $3.6 billion, delivering ~35,000 affordable homes. More details here ➡️ https://amzn.to/3KGgbzm
