2Y - TRIFR FREE 24/07/24 - LBC Rotterdam celebrated a new milestone. We reached 2 years without any lost-time incident  This doesn't happen by accident. It is a team effort, of everybody who is working at our terminal. "At LBC, everybody is a Safety Leader!" With the ongoing expansion project at our terminal, which includes new block train (un)loading facilities and the construction of 3 tank pits, accommodating 36 new tanks with a total capacity of 86 000 m³, it is important to keep this focus. A beautiful day in June which we can mark as another important milestone in our growth trajectory. Thousands of adopted pink ducks will be released into the Bonapartedok, each one representing solidarity with those affected by breast cancer and contributing to essential campaigns that fund research and provide care to many. About 18 years ago, Mitchell Garner was searching for a career that had meaning, discipline and a place where strong bonds could be developed. He ended up accepting a position as an industrial firefighter for a company in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he and his colleagues were resident contractors to major oil and gas companies along the Gulf Coast. Years later, he transitioned to a terminal company in the Houston area where he spent nine years in their EHS department. Today, as Regional Manager of Safety and Emergency Response for LBC Tank Terminals, Garner truly enjoys the work he does. Garner’s advice to those just starting out in the industry? “Open your mind to the endless possibilities the terminal business can offer and don’t be afraid of being well-rounded,” he said. “The short answer is, never turn down the opportunity to solve a problem.
