Congratulations to our Director of Rehab Services, Amy Hart on receiving the "My Boss is a Patriot" award! For the past 50 years, the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve organization has worked with the Secretary of Defense to establish a strong bond between citizen soldiers and the civilian workplace. Their mission is to encourage the employment of Guardsmen and Reservists who bring reliability, global perspective and proven leadership to the civilian workforce. Here is what CPT Haley Carpenter had to say about Amy: "Amy hired me with full understanding of what it was to undertake a military member. She expressed thanks for my service early on and continues to show support of me even when I need to step away to care for Army obligations while balancing my normal civilian job. She works to maintain staffing without making me feel like I am inconveniencing our team to perform my military duty. As a commander of a unit, I frequently have additional duties and time requirements outside of the usual 2 weeks and one weekend a month and I always feel like I can go to Amy even on short notice with Army requirements and know she will fully support the mission. Amy is extremely considerate of my obligations as a soldier. She is a true patriot and an outstanding supervisor. She knows that when I get put on orders that it takes away from the office and she is a professional at what she does and yet takes the time to get to know who you are as a person. Our workplace is both a team and a family." Thank you Amy for going above and beyond and thank you to all of our military for your service!
