Congratulations to our own Michael Andrews who recently received the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) Emerging Leader Award! This award is presented to AHAM members who, through volunteer service, have made important contributions to the industry. This recognition is designed to honor that service and encourage continued service and industry leadership. Mike’s recent work with AHAM includes participating in their heater safety committee as well as leading a subcommittee on new tip-over requirements for heater safety efforts. Mike was also voted in as AHAM’s Portable Appliance Division Engineering Council Chair where he’ll help lead technical discussions, conduct meetings with a view of reaching consensus, and participate in planning and strategy sessions related to AHAM technical operations and standards activities. Approximately six out of every ten moms are in the workforce. Second-time mom, Stephanie Bedway, recently returned to work after her family welcomed their second daughter back in November. She was the first mother to use Lasko’s new Mothers Room at our West Chester, PA headquarters, so naturally, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion! She shared, “Transitioning back to the office after having a child can present significant challenges for mothers. I’m extremely grateful for the exceptional support I've received from the Lasko team. Their efforts to accommodate breastfeeding mothers, such as providing this dedicated beautiful private space within the office, have been exceptionally considerate. This thoughtful gesture not only acknowledges the unique needs of working mothers but also demonstrates a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace environment.”

Last month, Clarksville, Tennessee was devastated by a tornado. Our Franklin, Tennessee plant employees quickly connected with YaiPak Outreach, a natural disaster outreach organization, to provide help to the community. Our team donated about 2,000 heaters which were distributed along with food and other supplies to more than 1500 Clarksville area families in need right before the holidays.   We’re grateful that we were able to provide some warmth this winter to those impacted by the tornado.
